Because art, together with knowledge, is an indispensable tool for promoting innovation and imagination on the campus, for developing creativity in all the fields of UT1 Capitole and for encouraging broader understanding and debating, Toulouse1 Capitole has developed  a cultural centre since November 2009. Art is now regular part of the university intellectual life.

The mission of the centre is to valorize artistic and cultural practices on and outside the campus. It combines:

  • Helping students discover arts through challenging and eclectic programming
  • Highlighting students’ artistic practices and encouraging creative initiatives
  • Structuring and coordinating on-site cultural projects
