on the January 15, 2013

Unknown label

Facilitating young people’s access to their first job, assisting employees, entrepreneurs or re-training executives with their career are the objectives of the partnership agreement signed on 15 January 2013 at 2 pm, by Bruno Sire, Toulouse 1 Capitole University Chancellor, Catherine Casamatta, Toulouse IAE Director and Christian Bacou, President of the Apec Joint Committee for Midi-Pyrénées.

Students and employees must acquire specific competences to achieve their career project. Thus, Toulouse IAE within Capitole 1 University offers specific graduating tracks in connection with businesses and  the labour market.  In order to complete this offer,  IAE and  Apec have decided to pool their specific services by implementing informative, guidance and support actions, through meetings, specialized workshops or forums and seminars.

Jean-Marie Marx, Apec General Director: «Through our involvement with Toulouse IAE, Apec wishes to help devise a common program of action aiming at organizing, coordinating and operating activities to facilitate young people’s employability and staff’s professional development ».

Catherine Casamatta, Director of IAE Toulouse, views the collaboration as « a necessary tool to impact efficiently the very serious employment issue young graduates and professionals have to cope with ». The Training and Guidance joint offer will actually develop into a professional safeguarding mechanism.

The Apec and IAE partnership relies on three potential strategic lines of action: assist young people and re-training staff in their access to corporate jobs, strengthen their career and support start-up entrepreneurs.

Toulouse IAE will inform its students and staff about the Apec services and encourage the greatest possible number to attend the common actions implemented together. On the other hand, Apec will provide information concerning the IAE training offer and will hold conferences, workshops… with groups of students or of interns during IAE information sessions about the labour market and the management of their career.
