The project for the TSE research graduate school approved by the Ministry of Higher Education

from October 24, 2017 to December 24, 2017

The international jury of the “Investments for the future” programs for “Ecoles universitaires de recherche”(Research graduate schools) has selected the Toulouse Graduate School Challenges in Economics and Quantitative Social Sciences (CHESS) project from Toulouse School of Economics, devised in close cooperation with Toulouse Capitole University. The project will be granted 10.8 millions € over 10 years.

On Tuesday 24 October, the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation named the projects approved under the EUR agenda (Research Graduate Schools), supported by the “Investments for the future” programs. The projects have been selected along the one criterion of academic excellence.

The Toulouse Graduate School Challenges in Economics and Quantitative Social Sciences draws on the progress made in the field of research by the TSE and IAST laboratories of excellence (LABEXs) and on the high quality education portfolio provided by the school, as evidenced by the IDEFI label awarded in 2012.
Thanks to the grant, TSE, IAST and Toulouse Capitole University will offer a new course portfolio backed up by TSE and its doctoral school: multidisciplinary programs or tracks valorizing quantitative Social Sciences tools and methods, new resources and services for internationally more competitive training, opportunities for other social science students to register for TSE tracks and enhanced international projects.
