Second place was given to Phuong-Thao Bui for her thesis “Forgive or Retaliate?: The Role of Emotions in the Psyche of Clients Seeking Revenge” written at the University of Toulouse under the guidance of Professor Jean-Marc Decaudin.

Third place was awarded to Céline Fueyo whose research studies the influence of employee’s social media profiles on their companies’ “e-reputations”. Ms. Fueyo completed a thesis under the direction of Professor Jacques Digout at the University of Toulouse.

The BVA Grand Prize for Marketing Research is given to a doctoral thesis that is judged to be exceptional by marketing research experts as well as representatives from management science doctoral programmes. The thesis must also contribute to furthering interaction between the academic world and the professional world.

The BVA Grand Prize is open to doctoral students who have been pre-selected by their programmes. From this pool, a jury selects three finalists to present their research in person before a jury of professionals. Following these presentations, the finalists are ranked and awarded a prize of 3000€ to be divided among them according to their ranking.
