The core research activity in economics at UT1C  is carried out within  Toulouse School of Economics (TSE) hosted on the Manufacture des Tabacs campus. TSE gathers a community of 160 researchers sharing the same ambition in terms of scientific excellence and willing to create and disseminate new knowledge.

TSE’s research in economics addresses a broad range of issues, from more fundamental aspects to deeply applied approaches. 11 sub-groups are working on the following issues :

9 TSE researchers currently hold ERC grants (European Research Council). TSE is the second-highest ERC grant beneficiary in France, after the CNRS.

Toulouse 1 Capitole (UT1) is a teaching and research centre of international excellence for law, economics and management.
