Introduction

Objectives

The aim of this double degree is not only to provide students with theoretical and practical knowledge of the French and Italian legal systems, but also to offer them a comparative perspective.
The study of Italian and French law provides students with a rich and complementary education within the European Higher Education Area, enabling them to easily grasp the contributions and difficulties of European law.
This dual legal knowledge, the fluency in two specialised languages and the experience of student mobility are essential assets for working in the transnational and international field. The aim of this dual training programme is to produce experts with a mastery of French and Italian law, a strong capacity for analysis and an excellent grasp of legal techniques, as well as dual linguistic skills.

During the two-year Master's degree, students specialise. From Master 1 level, students studying in Milan can choose from the following specialisations
- M1 International and European Law
- M1 Business Law
- M1 Criminal Law and Justice

Students on exchange in Naples will be integrated into the M1 in International and European Law.

At the end of the five-year programme, students will be awarded a Laurea Magistrale and a Master 2 in Law (see above for subject areas).

Application

Conditions of admission / Conditions of successful application

Due to limited capacity, all programmes in the European School of Law are subject to selection. In addition to the qualities required for a law degree, this Franco-Italian double degree requires a very strong motivation to study law in a multicultural context (compulsory period of study in a partner university) and a solid command of French and Italian (at least level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
