Introduction
This double degree programme offered by the European School of Law Toulouse aims to provide students not only with practical knowledge of the French and Irish legal systems, but also with a comparative perspective (common law/civil law).
Objectives
This dual competence, the fluency in two languages and the experience of student mobility are undeniable assets for lawyers who wish to work in transnational areas and, more generally, internationally.
Specificities
During the first two years, students follow the 'French Law and Anglo-Saxon Law' programme. The third and fourth years are spent at University College Dublin, where they study the core subjects of Irish law. This gives students a good understanding of the differences and similarities between the two systems.
This double degree is an option offered to 5 students enrolled in the French Law - Anglo-Saxon Law programme: at the end of their 2nd year, they can choose to enrol at UCD during their 3rd year and Master 1 year in order to obtain, in addition to their French degree, the Bachelor of Civil Law of University College Dublin.
At the end of the four-year programme, students receive a Master 1 in International and European Law or Business Law and a Bachelor of Civil Law.

This programme is reserved for students of the Bachelor's degree in Law with a major in French Law and Common Law programme.
Holders or prospective holders of the French baccalauréat or an equivalent diploma from the European Union, the European Economic Area or the Swiss Confederation should apply at www.parcoursup.fr between 17 January 2024 and 14 March 2024.
A pre-selection of applications will be carried out, followed by an interview for the short-listed candidates. The timetable and interview procedures will be finalised in the first quarter of 2024.

What's next ?
Further studies
The completion of the four-year programme will give students the qualifications they need to continue their professional training with a view to a legal career (solicitor, barrister, judge, etc.) in either country.
Students may also wish to pursue an M2 or LLM (UK, Ireland), particularly in international, European and comparative law.

€170 per year
Conditions of submission
Students are enrolled at the UT Capitole and pay the applicable enrolment fees. During the period of study abroad, they will also be enrolled at the host university and their enrolment fees there will be waived. Under certain conditions, they will be eligible for mobility grants and higher education grants based on social criteria.
