"The Covid-19 crisis shows us that when there is a collective will, anything is possible. On the basis of this experience, the commission will work on the best way to coordinate individual and entrepreneurial will to massively reduce our greenhouse gas emissions before it is too late."

"I am honoured and delighted to be part of this committee. Unemployment, over-indebtedness and purchasing power will certainly take centre stage over the next two years. While these are of course crucial concerns, we also need to ensure a comprehensive vision for the future of our society. Thinking with leading economists about how to respond in a concrete, credible and effective way to these long-term challenges will be exciting."
