“The Royal Society of Edinburgh” elects new fellows (honorary fellows and corresponding fellows) every year.

Jean Tirole, President of TSE, scientific director of the Institute for Industrial Economics IDEI and member of the steering committee of the 'Institute for Advanced Study in Toulouse has been elected to fellowship of the Royal Society of Edinburgh".

This outstanding distinction is only awarded to egregious researchers after examination of their achievements in their relevant fields. Only three researchers (all disciplines included) have been honoured this year.
