from June 25, 2025 to June 27, 2025

From interactive campus activities to on-site industry visits, the ENGAGE.EU Study Tour in Toulouse offered students a deep dive into Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainability. Through lectures, field trips, and cross-cultural discussions, participants gained new perspectives on building meaningful and responsible careers.

Study Tour : What is it ?

The ENGAGE.EU Study Tour is an immersive programme organised by the ENGAGE.EU network of leading European universities, including Toulouse Capitole University. Each Study Tour programme is created jointly with students from the host university and includes an academic component (minimum one hour session) and may also include a professional component.
This format aims to create new mobility opportunities in addition to traditional semester exchanges and Summer/Winter Schools. Study Tours are designed to make international mobility more accessible to learners from under-represented groups or those with fewer opportunities.

This June edition in Toulouse : CSR to help building meaningful career

The recent ENGAGE.EU Study Tour in Toulouse provided students with a valuable opportunity to delve into key topics related to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainability- areas of growing importance in today’s world.
The program began on Wednesday with an orienteering activity around the university campus, designed to introduce participants to its sustainable features.
Thursday included a lecture offering a sociological perspective on CSR, followed by a session with alumni from Toulouse Capitole University who are now working in the field. In the afternoon, students visited the construction site of the new Toulouse metro line, a project recognized with the High Environmental Quality (HQE) certification.
On Friday, the group attended a second lecture, this time addressing legal dimensions of CSR. They then learned about Airbus’s sustainability initiatives before visiting the Airbus site and the A350 assembly line, where aircraft designed for improved environmental performance are built.
Throughout the tour, students engaged in meaningful discussions and demonstrated strong interest in the topics. In addition to the academic content, the tour also encouraged exchange and collaboration across disciplines, cultures, and backgrounds.
As students return home, they bring with them not only new insights into CSR, but also a broader perspective and new connections formed during the experience.
