The CREDIF is pleased to welcome Lucia Picardi, professor at Federico II University in Naples for a conference on Italian business law, its characteristics and developments.

Since July 2017 Lucia Picardi is full Professor of Commercial Law at the University of Naples "Federico II". She currently teaches Commercial Law and Financial Market Law. She has been visiting researcher at Queen Mary & Westfield College, University of London, at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, University of London, and the Institut fuer international-und privat Recht of the Ruprecht Karl Universitaet of Heidelberg.


She has been visinting professor at the University of Toulouse 1 Capitole in the academic years 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 and at Albert-Ludwigs-Universitaet of Freiburg in the academic year 2018-2019.

Her main fields of research are company law, particularly the issues related with corporate finance and corporate governance, and financial market law, especially the asset management rules and the investor protection.

She is author of two books: "Impresa e contratto nella gestione del risparmio", Giuffrè, Milano 2004 e "Il ruolo dei creditori fra monitoraggio e orientamento della gestione nella società per azioni", Giuffrè, Milano 2003, and of several articles published on leading law reviews.

This conference is a follow-up to "the new italian insolvency law" provided by Mrs Picardi on 17 October at 16h (in room MC407).
