Background
Toulouse Capitole University is pleased to host a staff training week dedicated to a major challenge facing academic institutions today and in the future: the role of artificial intelligence in higher education administration.
This immersive week offers staff from partner universities the unique opportunity to share best practices and explore how AI can support innovation, improve efficiency, and contribute to the responsible and sustainable transformation of administrative practices in universities.
Who can participate?
This training is aimed at administrative staff from ENGAGE.EU Alliance member universities, regardless of their level of expertise or familiarity with artificial intelligence. No prior knowledge of AI is required.Academic insight paired with pratical skill building
This programme will equip participants with an overview of how artificial intelligence is reshaping administrative practices now and in the future. It will also aim to provide practical, ready-to-use tools that can be applied immediately in professional contexts.Through a blend of expert lectures and real-world case studies, the programme explores key themes such as:
- How AI is transforming university administration
- Strategic uses of AI tools in administrative roles
- Responsible, ethical, and sustainable AI practices
- Security, data protection, and digital governance challenges
- Institutional strategies for successful AI integration
- Emerging trends and future directions in higher education
Programme & additional activities
The Staff Week programme will be complemented by social events, including opportunities to network with fellow participants and explore Toulouse. The detailed academic and social programme will be available soon.Additional elements
- An introductory online session (date to be announced) will enable participants to familiarise themselves with the programme and the speakers, and prepare for the face-to-face experience.
- Spots are limited to 30 participants
Practical information
- Registration: participation in the staff week is free of charge.
- Meals: lunch and coffee breaks will be provided from Monday to Friday.
- Accommodation: Accommodation is not included. UT Capitole will provide accommodation suggestions to accepted participants, but they are not bound to these options.
- Financial support (applicable only for participants attending from outside of Toulouse): This ENGAGE.EU staff training week is eligible for selected candidates to apply for Erasmus mobility grants provided by their home institutions to support travel costs. Please contact the relevant person at your home institution to enquire if Erasmus grant funds are available.
