The administrative management of research at UT Capitole is handled by the Research Support Directorate (DAR), which supports the community of academic staff and PhD students on matters relating to:
  • joint supervision of PhD theses,
  • PhD and HDR defences,
  • organising conferences,
  • hosting visiting academics,
  • preparing for staff exchanges,
  • responding to calls for proposals,
  • setting up projects,
  • drafting and negotiating research contracts,
  • administrative and financial management of research projects,
  • promoting and disseminating research findings... .
It plays a central role in liaising, coordinating and facilitating, with a view to translating strategic guidelines into concrete and effective actions.

The Partnerships and Promotion Department

To make it easier to access and respond to calls for proposals in the fields of research and training, a department within the DAR is dedicated to supporting academic staff: the Partnerships and Promotion Department (SPV). It offers support from the monitoring phase right through to the stage of responding to the call for proposals:
  • information and advice,
  • support with project development,
  • training and awareness-raising,
  • project monitoring,
  • support for the commercialisation of research.

Support for PhD students and early-career researchers

The DAR helps to set up tailored support schemes, in particular by assisting PhD students and early-career researchers in their search for funding:
  • foundation scholarship,
  • disability scholarship,
  • CIFRE scholarship,
  • mobility scholarship, etc.
The DAR, in collaboration with the doctoral schools, also organises an annual event to welcome new PhD students.
