The Doctor Honoris Causa of Toulouse Capitole University

Created in 1918, the title of Doctor Honoris Causa is one of the most prestigious distinctions awarded by French universities to honour ‘foreign nationals for outstanding services to science, literature or the arts, to France or to the university’.
For nearly a century, distinguished figures have been awarded this honorary title. As early as 1927, Romanian diplomat and minister Constantin Diamandi was honoured for his strategic role in developing the agreement between Romania and Antarctica in 1916.

Since the founding of the current University of Toulouse Capitole, countless professors, deans, directors, presidents of faculties, institutes, universities and regions, councillors and ministers have been named Doctor Honoris Causa of the university.
