John ALDRICH, political scientist from Duke University, speaks about “Democracy really is the worst form of government, except all the others...”
The Institute for Advanced Study in Toulouse continues its special public lecture series, the IAST Distinguished Lectures in the Social Sciences, given by internationally renowned scholars on a theme of interest to all concerned citizens.
John Aldrich has received grants from the National Science Foundation and the National Endowment for the Humanities, and has served as co-editor of the American Journal of Political Science and as a Fellow at the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences and the Rockefeller Center, Bellagio, Italy. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
