The Institute for Advanced Study in Toulouse continues its special public lecture series, the IAST Distinguished Lectures in the Social Sciences, given by Internationally renowned scholars on a theme of interest to all concerned citizens.
Theme for 2015: the human family
- On September 24, 2015: "Our evolutionary lineage" by the anthropologist Max Planck
- On November 5, 2015: "The influence of families on the life outcomes of children" by Janet Currie from Princeton University
- On December 3, 2015: "Globalization and the changing nature of families" (this lecture will be in french), by the french anthropologist Emmanuel Todd
