Research topics

The Toulouse Centre in the History of Law and Political Ideas (CTHDIP) brings together all the university professors, assistant professors, junior lecturers on temporary contracts (ATER) and researchers in the history of law and political ideas. It is equipped with adequate means for individual and collective research (library, conference room, computing equipment, appropriations and publications).

The CTHDIP has a unit at the Albi university centre: the Albi Centre of the history of Law and Institutions (Head: Olivier Devaux).

Areas of research :

The CTHDIP supports and develops the historical research of the University of Social Science, from assisting young researchers (theses, Master 2’s dissertations) to publishing monographs, organizing symposiums, editing ancient texts or unpublished material, promoting team research work etc.

Research themes cover the history of law and political ideas from antiquity to the 20th century.
