International Student Registration Fees

Differentiated registration fees vary according to the targeted course of study at UT Capitole, your nationality and your personal situation.
"Differentiated fees" are registration fees specific to non-EU international students. The amount is different from the registration fee for national or European students. These fees must be paid annually.

University Toulouse Capitole applies differentiated rights in accordance with the procedures defined by its Board of Administration: deliberation.
However, the vote on the bill "to control immigration and improve integration" is likely to lead to changes in the differentiated rights policy of the university.
In the event of substantial changes in the application of these differentiated rights, University Toulouse Capitole will inform admitted applicants on the Internet pages dedicated to admissions.

Differential registration fees : how does it work?

At the begining of the 2022-2023 academic year, students who are non-nationals of the European union will have to pay different registration fees from those paid by French or European students.
These fees will be paid annually.
More information

Are you impacted ?

Only students who are non-nationals of the European union (included British students) who register at UT Capitole on an individual basis for a bachelor's or master's degree are concerned by the differential fees and therefore by possible fee waivers (see section below : "Fee waivers : how does it work"?).

Are automatically exempted from paying fees, students :
  • with the nationality of countries in the European Union, the European Economic Area or Switzerland;
  • with the nationality of a country that has signed an agreement with France providing for the payment of enrolment fees under the same conditions as French students. This is the case with Andorra and Canada (for students resident in Quebec);
And non-EU students :
  • who study within the framework of an international inter-institutional convention (signed between UT Capitole and a foreign partner);
  • enrolled in a programme at Doctorate level.
  • who live in France with resident status or with a carte de séjour (residence permit) stating "vie privée et familiale" (private and family life);
  • who have refugee status or who benefit from subsidiary protection.

Currently, the registration fees for French and European students amount to 170 € for the Bachelor's degree and 243 € for the Master's degree (more information).

The registration fees for students who are non-nationals of the European union amount to 2770 € for the Bachelor's degree and 3770 € for the Master's degree.

In the framework of the new waiver policy for registration fees at UT Capitole, students who are non-nationals of the European union can benefit from a partial waiver. This one is limited and granted on the basis of specific criteria.

Consequently, these students will pay the same registration fees as those paid by French and European students.
Please note that the fee waiver only concerns national registration fees and does not apply to any additional training fees.

The Commission in charge of examining the applications for an admission to the chosen programmes will decide on a possible fee waiver at the same time.

Students who benefit from a partial fee waiver will be informed of :
  • the decision of the admission Committee
  • the reply related to the partial waiver of registration fees
