Whether you have a permanent or temporary disability (injury, accident, etc.) or a serious health condition (illness), you may be eligible for special arrangements.

Please note that these arrangements also apply in the context of pregnancy or personal care. If you are unsure whether your situation qualifies, please do not hesitate to contact us.

To ensure you benefit from all the support you need to make the most of your studies at our University, it is essential that you contact the Student Health Service (SSE) and then the UT Disability Office as soon as the academic year begins.

These measures are valid for one cycle (Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD) and are not automatically renewed at the end of each cycle. However, if you feel the need to do so (due to changes in your symptoms or condition, or difficulties you are experiencing with your current arrangements), you can book another appointment with the SSE doctor. New arrangements may then be considered.

Have you received a recommendation sheet for adaptations? Please remember to send it to us at the following address: handicap@ut-capitole.fr.

How can I access support measures?

During this appointment, the doctor from the Student Health Service will draw up a list of recommended adjustments, taking into account each student’s individual circumstances.

Appointments with the Student Health Service can be made by telephone on 05 61 63 37 25.

Once you have received your SSE recommendation, you must either bring it to the Disability Office or email it to handicap@ut-capitole.fr.

The Disability Office will explain the content and implementation of the adjustments recommended for you.

A decision will be drawn up by the Disability Office setting out the recommended adjustments and sent to the University President for signature. This is because measures relating to examinations must be approved by the University President.

This decision shall be binding with regard to the implementation of adjustments to academic studies and the sitting of examinations.
