The Rodez Institute of Technology campus

Member of the Toulouse Capitole University, the IUT is located in Rodez, the capital of the Aveyron department, which offers all the amenities and leisure activities of a major city. The town of Rodez was in fact ranked 5th among medium-sized French towns (between 20,000 and 50,000 inhabitants) in terms of quality of life, according to a survey published in February 2025 by the JDD.

Located close to the station and the town centre, the IUT offers a friendly and welcoming environment that is ideal for studying. The teaching and administrative staff are attentive to each student’s needs, creating a positive working atmosphere.

The IUT buildings are modern and surrounded by greenery. The clean and functional interior design, the spacious and well-lit classrooms, and unrestricted access to IT facilities (one computer per student) all contribute to everyone’s well-being.
 

In 2025, landscaping work also provided students with over 3,000 m² of outdoor space: an open-air amphitheatre, relaxation areas, a pétanque court, sports equipment and new meeting places. The project places a strong emphasis on biodiversity, with the planting of dozens of trees, the introduction of numerous plant species and the installation of bird boxes.
