ENGAGE.EU : About us
Our alliance
The alliance will harness the unique synergies of its members, bringing a new dimension to existing collaborations based on a joint strategy and common goals. Each member university brings its individual perspective, shaped by its areas of academic specialization as well as its geographic and economic context, to create collective value beyond the potential of individual players.
The alliance offers unique opportunities to educate and inspire a new generation of citizens who will help make Europe a global benchmark in addressing societal challenges. The partner universities want to become an incubator for driving societal change based on academic excellence and working with society. The initiative has been selected to be part of the European Universities 2020 strategy.

ENGAGE.EU : The european project behind the University
The European Commission has launched two calls for pilot projects in 2018 and 2019 to test different models of European Universities. Currently 41 3-year projects have been launched. Started in November 2020, the ENGAGE initiative allows Toulouse Capitole University to be part of the 32 French institutions involved in these alliances. A new phase began in 2022 with the extension of existing alliances and a new target of 60 European universities by 2025.
The project led by the alliance is a cross-cutting project, organised into 5 work packages, themselves divided into 47 tasks.
