ENGAGE.EU : About us
Notre alliance
ENGAGE.EU is an alliance of leading European universities in business, economics, and the social sciences, which aims to provide European citizens with the set of skills and competences needed to tackle major societal challenges. These existing and new challenges, such as digitalisation and artificial intelligence, climate change, ageing societies and migration, must be successfully adressed to ensure a sustainable and positive future. ENGAGE.EU will inspire active societal engagement in the current and future state of Europe – and beyond.
The alliance will harness the unique synergies of its members, bringing a new dimension to existing collaborations based on a joint strategy and common goals. Each member university brings its individual perspective, shaped by its areas of academic specialization as well as its geographic and economic context, to create collective value beyond the potential of individual players.
The alliance offers unique opportunities to educate and inspire a new generation of citizens who will help make Europe a global benchmark in addressing societal challenges. The partner universities want to become an incubator for driving societal change based on academic excellence and working with society. The initiative has been selected to be part of the European Universities 2020 strategy.
