The ENGAGE.EU European University's "commitment to society" axis focuses on the partners' links with their regional and international ecosystems.
In this way, the members of the alliance open the doors of the university to the local socio-economic system by creating bridges between research, innovation and society.

Among the objectives developed:
- a series of ENGAGE.EU Labs where students, professionals, researchers, businesses, citizens' initiatives and political decision-makers will work together to find solutions based on their knowledge of the problems facing the world today.
- Intensive international face-to-face programmes for alliance students from partner universities, such as Expedition Week
- In each ENGAGE.EU member university, social and economic partners work together locally and are linked at European level to work on joint projects (Local Societal Chapters).
