Round of applause for the "young innopreneurs for a better world"

on the May 9, 2023

On Tuesday 9 May, the final competition of the "Young Innopreneurs for a better world" programme took place at European level, supported by the European Alliance ENGAGE EU and its 7 universities in Europe, including Toulouse Capitole University.

Launched in the autumn of 2022, this competition allowed high school students from several schools to get involved in one of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals: "Responsible Consumption and Production" (SDG 12), to identify concrete issues / topics to which they brought sustainable solutions.

A first local round determined a team for each highschool involved. In Toulouse, the Lycée Ozenne and more specifically the STMG final year section took part in this competition. The winning team "Eco Flush" imagined the production of a reusable glove, made of ecological material, protected by a disposable glove, as an alternative to toilet paper, "enemy of the planet".
On 9 May, this team competed against 4 teams from 4 schools in Bulgaria, in the presence of the Vice-Rector of Sofia University UNWE , the chair of this event.

We are pleased to announce that the "Eco Flush" team from the Lycée Ozenne has been ranked second ex-aequo by the jury composed of economic actors and innovation specialists.

We salute the performance of the three high school students who made a presentation online and in English.
Our thanks go to the management and teaching staff of the Ozenne high school who were strongly involved in this competition.

This action shows us how fertile and enterprising the young generation is!
