Cap Cameroun
International Credit Mobility (MIC) or Key Action 1 KA 171
- What is the MIC Project (KA 171)?
Toulouse Capitole University takes part in mobility projects in partnership with third countries not associated with the Erasmus+ programme: projects formerly known as ‘International Credit Mobility (MIC)’ under Key Action KA 171, ‘Higher education mobility supported by EU external policy funds’, of the Erasmus+ programme. The aim of this action is to promote employability, social inclusion, civic engagement, innovation and sustainable development in Europe and beyond by offering students at different levels and in various fields of study the opportunity to study or undertake training abroad as part of their studies.
To this end, in February 2024, the University developed and submitted the Cap’Cameroun project in collaboration with the University of Dschang in Cameroon, which provides for incoming and outgoing exchanges of students, administrative staff and teaching staff over a three-year period. The project was approved in July 2024 and is funded by Erasmus+ under the new 2021–2027 programme.
The ‘Cap’Cameroun’ project forms part of the development of the ‘Francophonie’ pillar, a key component of the university’s international strategy, and is primarily aimed at enhancing its appeal and academic cooperation with French-speaking Africa, particularly Cameroon.
It thus offers Cameroonian students new opportunities for higher education, particularly in France, and also enables us to mutually enrich our academic programmes through the exchange of lecturers between our universities. These mobility grants also aim to promote the international mobility of PhD students in law, to offer them the opportunity to develop their academic networks and, finally, to contribute to the development of international academic collaborations between the research units of the two partner universities.
As for administrative staff, international mobility will provide an opportunity to exchange best practice in similar roles and to discover a new professional and cultural environment.
This MIC Cap’ Cameroon project is aimed at PhD students in law at UT Capitole and students at Uds (undergraduate, master’s and PhD), as well as administrative staff and law lecturers.
Exchange programmes can take place throughout the duration of the project.
