A library well worth exploring
The Manufacture des Tabacs University Library is a must-visit venue for students and academic staff at UT Capitole.
Housed in a building listed as a historic monument, it offers a pleasant working environment and a variety of spaces, all within a cosy atmosphere. As it is much less busy than the Arsenal Library, it is very easy to find a seat amongst the 574 seats available in the reading rooms or group study rooms. Users have access to a rich and varied collection of printed and digital resources. The library also hosts exhibitions throughout the year.

A bit of history...
Listed as a historic monument, the building has housed part of Toulouse Capitole University since 1996. The library, situated in the former warehouses, covers 4,500 m² across three levels, on either side of a gallery. The restoration and refurbishment work is being carried out under the supervision of the architectural firm Marien.
In 2014, major renovation work was carried out at the Manufacture des Tabacs library.
