FRINDO-CLIMAI

Launch of Franco-Indonesian cooperation on AI for climate modelling remains uncertain

The FRINDO-CLIMAI project studies Indonesia’s complex climate systems, which are characterised by non-linear interactions, high spatial variability and a scarcity of observations. It aims to develop an artificial intelligence processing pipeline that explicitly incorporates uncertainty quantification in order to improve regional climate projections and support local decision-making.
