Why does the influence of American theatre remain limited on the French theatre scene, despite its current flourishing state and the American presence in so many other fields? ACTiF aims to address this contradiction in order to fill a gap in the study of the performing arts and international cultural policies, and to foster interaction between research in theatre studies on both sides of the Atlantic.
