Ageing is associated with a gradual decline in physiological functions, which can potentially lead to age-related diseases (ARDs), frailty and, ultimately, dependency. This project is based on the hypothesis that tissue ageing is linked to a series of cellular and tissue challenges that occur throughout an individual’s life and are not adequately addressed physiologically.
