Back in pictures on the Opening Ceremony of the Academic Year of Toulouse Capitole University
on the September 22, 2022
The official opening of the Toulouse Capitole University was held on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at the Arsenal, under the aegis of President Hugues Kenfack. During this evening, the numerous projects and the dynamics of transformation of the university towards the EPE were presented to the UT Capitole community as well as to prestigious guests.
On the occasion of the official opening of the Toulouse Capitole University, high school students, students from Toulouse, Montauban, Rodez, teachers-researchers, administrative staff of the university as well as local personalities and many partners were gathered.
For nearly 800 years, our university has been an incubator of excellence with a focus on people! Excellence in research: as evidenced by our publications and rankings. Excellence in our training: based on the involvement of our teaching teams, the awarding of double degrees, etc.

Three round tables were held to discuss the key issues that will shape the future of our university:

This change of status in January 2023 will allow the creation of an international research centre, a digital university, a partnership foundation to develop support for students and teachers and research chairs.
> our internationalisation
Our openness to the world is supported by strong partnerships. The representatives of ENGAGE.eu, LUISS, Indianapolis and the University of Abidjhan bear witness to this.
> our solidarity
Our university's priority is access for all to higher education: opening of Prepa'Talents classes, a UT1 Esope solidarity grocery shop, development of mentoring and the Cordées de la réussite programme. The inclusion of people with disabilities is also at the heart of our lives on campus.
We are a university with a glorious past, a glorious present and therefore a glorious future.

At the end of the ceremony, President Hugues Kenfack, surrounded by the directors of the components as well as heads of partner structures, presented 7 Awards:
- Vincent Auriol Prize
Prize for pedagogical excellence and merit awarded to Mathilde-Anne PETERSON. - Marguerite Dihlan Prize
Human University Prize awarded to the Disability and Equality Missions teams (Éva SOUBRIER and Aurélie PLAZA). - Gabriel Marty Prize
Recipient: Sarah BOUJENDAR. - Michel Despax Prize
Recipients: Solène HORTALA, Estelle FOHRER DEUDERWARDER and Mathieu BOUVARD. - Jean-Jacques Laffont Prize
Prize for scientific excellence awarded to the year's winners (ANR, IUF and CNRS medals). - Cujas Prize
High school - university continuum prize awarded to Sacha FRELAT, the youngest student at the university aged 16. - Maurice Hauriou Prize
Prize for social excellence awarded to Inès, an alumnus involved in the "cordées de la réussite".
