For the fourth year running, the law cafés are resuming their talks.
They are an opportunity for the Toulouse Law Faculty, together with its network of partners, to bring in its know-how to help build a society where law should not be experienced as an obstacle. There, social issues are approached from a legal and multidisciplinary viewpoint so as to provide the general public with a better understanding of major issues.
Our world is enduring an unprecedented migratory crisis. Thousands of people are fleeing the many armed conflicts being waged on several continents. Some of them have chosen to come to Europe.
In France, part of the population is voicing their reluctance to hosting migrants. So much so that some are even questioning allowing them to come at all.
Beyond political positions, the legal approach can provide some answers worth being debated at the Law Café, on Monday 19 October, at 6.30 pm.
