The University academic and research components

The components decide on their own statutes,  that are approved by the Governing Board, they also decide on their own internal structures. They work with the Chancellor towards the preparation and implementation of the university multi-annual contract. The creation, termination or regrouping of the components are recorded in the multi-annual contract, if necessary by means of an additional clause.

The various university component units are:

  • Research and training units, departments, laboratories and research centers, created by decision of the UT-1 Governing Board upon recommendation from the scientific committee.
  • Schools or institutes, established by decision and order of the Higher Education Ministry upon proposition or recommendation of UT- 1 Governing Board and of the National Council of Higher Education and Research.
