The Think Tank ENGAGE.EU provides a platform for teacher-researchers to focus on research and advance expertise with other researchers and leading experts from industry and politics. This forum allows them to establish new research collaborations, and possibly launch new projects, papers or funding applications - away from the day-to-day activities.
The Think Tank brings together a small group of researchers from the ENGAGE.EU 9 partners and aims to facilitate interdisciplinary dialogue of ideas on topics of societal interest. It is a forum for intensive academic exchange where researchers address the critical societal challenges of our time, where the boundaries of research and innovation are challenged, where unique collaborations become possible and where space is given to original thinking.

Think Tank Toulouse 2026
This sixth edition will bring together around twenty European researchers from the partner universities of the ENGAGE.EU European University to advance research into the following questions: understanding and addressing the ethical, legal, and social implications of regulating and deploying AI systems; fairness in AI; individual and organizational perceptions and interactions with AI; governance and regulation of AI.
This Think Thank will enable researchers to:
deepen their expertise and enrich their research work
encourage the creation of new academic collaborations at European level
work in a multicultural environment
work closely together on a joint research project
take part in academic and cultural activities throughout the week.
The three-day workshop ‘AI Crossroads in Research Support: Data, Ethics, and Grants’, held in Bergen in early October, brought together experts to explore the impact of AI on academic research, with a focus on data management, ethics and funding applications. [ + ]
