The Toulouse Community of Universities and Institutions (COMUe), which brings together several institutions including Toulouse Capitole University, ranks in the 501-600 range in the Times Higher Education 2026 world rankings. UT Capitole contributes to this impressive performance by excelling in four disciplines: Business & Economics, Law, Social Sciences and Computer Science.
Times Higher Education has just unveiled its eagerly awaited rankings for 2026, the World University Rankings. The results by discipline confirm the excellence of Toulouse Capitole University in several key areas.

- Business and Economics (59th place worldwide): UT Capitole, through its Toulouse School of Economics (TSE) and Toulouse School of Management (TSM) departments, internationally recognised for the excellence of their teaching and research, is at the forefront of this discipline. Sciences Po Toulouse and the Faculty of Administration and Communication, other members of UT Capitole, also contribute to this reputation.
- Law (251st-300th place worldwilde) : UT Capitole, thanks to its Toulouse School of Law component, is the central hub for legal education and research in Toulouse. Renowned for the quality of its programmes and the vitality of its research, the Toulouse Scool of Law covers all major fields of law with a strong focus on research, teaching and professional integration. Sciences Po Toulouse contributes secondarily to this ranking.
UT Capitole contributes to the following disciplines:
- Social Sciences (301st-400th place worldwide): The University of Toulouse Jean Jaurès is the centre of expertise in this field, but the University of Toulouse Capitole also plays an active role, with its constituent institution Sciences Po Toulouse and its other members: the Faculty of Administration and Communication, the IUT of Rodez, the Toulouse School of Economics, the Toulouse School of Management, the Toulouse School of Law and the Faculty of Information Technology.
