On the occasion of the eighth edition of Law Night 2025, which will take place on Thursday 2 October, Toulouse Law School, in collaboration with CDAD 31, Toulouse Judicial Court, the Administrative Court of Appeal, the Administrative Court, the Bar Association and AJT, is organising a series of events to highlight the place that law occupies in our society.
Law Nightis a national event organised under the auspices of the Constitutional Council, with the aim of highlighting the role that law plays in our society, particularly as a protector of freedoms.
For this eighth edition, several events will be held at the Toulouse Courthouse and the Toulouse Law School of Toulouse Capitole University. On Thursday 2 October, activities will be offered throughout the day at the Toulouse Courthouse, including demonstrations by the canine brigade and the cynotechnical brigade, a crime scene reconstruction, and a behind-the-scenes look at a criminal trial.
On the same day, Toulouse Law School will organise several events for its students and the general public:
From 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.: an exclusive tour of the Salons du Capitole with Nina Ochoa, elected member of the City Council. This tour is organised by the association Les engagés! => Event open to law school students and high school students, REGISTRATION REQUIRED.
From 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. - Maury Amphitheatre: Conference-debate on the theme: ‘The financial responsibility of public administrators’ with Ms. Françoise Falga, Chief Financial Prosecutor, Mr. Vincent Dussart, Professor of Public Law, Mr. Dominique Gilles, Deputy Director General of Toulouse Métropole Services, Director General of ‘Steering,’ and Mr. Michel Bernos, Mayor of Jurançon, Administrative Magistrate => Event open to all, REGISTRATION REQUIRED.
From 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. - Amphitheatre Rempart Symposium: Testimonials and discussion on the topic of chemical restraint, organised by the AJT and Elisa Wolff, a Master's student in local government law. With presentations by Dr Leila Chaouachi, founder of CRAFS, and Maître Laurence Monnier-Saillol, barrister at the Toulouse Bar => Activity aimed at secondary school students, open to all.
From 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. - Amphithéâtre Hébraud: a public speaking competition organised by the Law School and the Conférence du barreau de Toulouse on the theme of ‘the rule of law’ => Event open to all.
From 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. - In various unusual locations at Toulouse Capitole University: A legal Cluedo game, organised on the premises of Toulouse Capitole University by the ‘Meridio Toulouse’ association => Event open to Law School students, REGISTRATION REQUIRED.
