Activities


 
The Languages and Civilizations Department (D.L.C.) organizes language courses
for all the faculties, schools and institutes of the University:

German, English, Spanish, French as a foreign language, Italian.


Besides the complementary language courses included in the University curriculae, the D.LC training portfolio consists in:

  • University diplomas in foreign language communication skills  (DULP), foreign  language  for specific purpose (DULS) and in French as a foreign language (CL-FLE),
  • Preparatory courses to international diplomas (Cambridge, TOEFL, DBE),
  • And the BULATS test (4 languages), organized and taken at UT1.


Students also benefit from free access to teaching aids at the C.R.L (Language Resources Center)

From the Bachelor’s degree 1st year upwards, complementing your university curriculae, the following University Diplomas and Language Certificates are available at the DLC:

  • Bulats: Under the agreement signed between ESOL Cambridge University and  UT1 Capitole, the BULATS test  is organized and taken on our premises.

The Languages Resources Center (CRL)

The CRL is a multimedia area dedicated to languages. Located on the 1st floor of the Arsenal BU (University Library), it is open Mondays to Fridays from 9am to 8pm as well as on Saturdays (see website).

Language Courses: French and Foreign Languages

Organized by the PRES - Pôle de Recherche et d'Enseignement Supérieur (Cluster of Higher Education and Research):

  • French doctoral students and lecturers-researchers can attend courses in the following languages:

Arabic, Chinese, Italian, Japanese, Norwegian, Swedish, Portuguese, German, Spanish and English

  • Foreign students registered under international mobility schemes, foreign doctoral students and foreign lecturers-researchers can benefit from courses in:

French as a Foreign Language

T.C.F. DAP:

This test is required from L1 - L2 applicants: non-European students, holders or future holders of diplomas outside the European Union and living abroad or in France.
