Toulouse School of Management: a Centre of Excellence for Management

Toulouse School of Management represents a centre of excellence for Management at the University of Toulouse Capitole. It gathers under a single brand:
  • TSM, a school which trains committed and responsible managers;
  • TSM Research, a CNRS research unit recognised for the quality of its academic publications and its researchers’ accomplishments;
  • TSM Doctoral Programme, an international doctoral school.
For more than half a century, Toulouse School of Management has combined academic know-how and dialogue with the corporate world in a concerted effort to develop tomorrow’s expertise and business growth.

Widely recognised programmes

TSM delivers top-quality academic and professional education, ensuring that students will quickly find employment upon graduating.
TSM offers full-time educational programmes in the main management disciplines at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Our subject areas are accounting and financial control, finance, human resource management, marketing, and strategy.

We prepare students for the working world through teaching, talks by top-level professionals, supervised projects, and extended internships.

TSM offers concrete international opportunities for students. We have a large network of international partners throughout the world and several of our degrees are taught in English.

In June 2005, TSM became the first university management school to receive QUALICERT certification, guaranteeing the quality of the services provided for students and corporate partners.

Research activities

Academic research at the cutting eadge of management

TSM is an internationally renowned centre of academic expertise. Its reputation is founded on the scientific TSM Research (CNRS UMR [French National Centre for ScientificResearch Mixed Research Unit] no. 5303), its active programme of partnerships with national and international educational and research institutions, and the involvement of business partners in framework agreements and academic positions.

TSM’s research and teaching staff makes valuable contributions to management research, regularly producing new scientific work and organising numerous conferences and international collaborations.

TSM also provides research training. The Doctoral School of Management (the only school in Toulouse to offer a Doctorate in Management) provides doctoral students with the ideal conditions to prepare their thesis and offers scientific supervision of the highest quality.


 A strong partnership with the business world

TSM works hand-in-hand with the business world. A range of agreements and academic positions underpins our ongoing cooperation with our business partners, which include Laboratoires Pierre Fabre, Airbus, BVA, merlane, Continental, Ordre des Experts Comptables, Compagnie Régionale des Commissaires aux Comptes, Caisse Régionale Crédit Mutuel Midi Atlantique, Manpower and Décathlon.
As part of its full-time courses, TSM organises additional events to help kick start students’ careers, including internship forums, career days and meetings with alumni.

TSM’s continuing education courses support employees in their career plans and help businesses with their HR development strategies.

The Master’s Degree in International Management offered at TSM has been awarded the extension of its accreditation for another five years. This achievement is the outcome of an in-depth review and audit by higher education and management professionals.
