Workshop on Theoretical Aspects of e-Democracy

le 27 avril 2017

Manufacture des Tabacs
e-Democracy uses computing and information technology in order to facilitate and improve democratic processes. A wealth of applications already exist to date: electronic petitions and consultations, online pools, wiki legislation, deliberation and voting platforms. Although these applications all show how computing can play a key role in rethinking democratic processes, we still lack a systematic understanding of how e-Democracy systems can be developed in a principled manner. The purpose of this workshop is to make our first steps in that directio, by bringing together researchers working on the theoretical foundations of e-Democracy. The workshop is part of the event series organized by the reading group on e-Democracy of the University of Toulouse.
