Abstract:
ABM, characterized by its bottom-up approach, allows the simulation of systems through the interactions of autonomous agents, each governed by a set of rules or a given behavior. This presentation aims to explore the potential of ABM in capturing the complexities of systems, focusing on various domains such as modeling and simulation of traffic, drone simulation, etc.
A critical analysis of ABM follows, where we discuss its advantages in flexibility and realism, contrasted with challenges such as computational demands and the difficulties of accurately defining agent behaviors. The question of scalability of ABM and the balance between model complexity and computational feasibility will be discussed.
