Abstract:
This presentation explores the synergy between traffic simulation and data science in empowering smart decision-making for cities. By harnessing the capabilities of traffic simulation, we can model and understand complex urban traffic scenarios, while data science techniques extract insights from information collected from the environment. This combination enables cities to make informed decisions for optimizing traffic, infrastructure planning, and implement effective congestion management strategies. I showcase the benefits of simulation and data science tools, emphasizing how these technologies contribute to the definition of efficient solutions for improving urban traffic.
